In this episode, I speak to ‘Dan the Man’ about misophonia – which is the small sounds that annoy people. Listen to see what sounds annoy Dan and me, plus you will hear the following Rock n’ Roll vocabulary:

  • You know more about swallowing
  • To think outside the box
  • Sneezing is also on the list
  • One thing that really annoys me is whistling
  • Not picking up your shit is frowned upon
  • That’s where I draw the line
  • You can get a heavy fine
  • I hate it when people bite their cutlery

You will also hear the most OFFENSIVE word in the English language!

RnR Grammar

Today we had so much much Rock n’ Roll vocabulary, that we’ll leave the grammar point, as I want you to remember the term “frImage result for frownowned upon”. A ‘frown’ is the name of the face the woman in the picture is giving.

So when something is ‘frowned upon’, like not picking up dog shit, it means that someone looks at you like the woman in the picture. Is it illegal? No. Is it socially acceptable? No.

When you have listened to the podcast and read the above, then you’re ready for the quiz below!

Good luck!

Funny and interesting podcast. Highly reccommended to pick up some spoken english words and idioms you don’t find in books and grammat useful to revice. Getting used to listening to them every day can definitely improve your English communicative skills..
