RnR Grammar

When I was telling Dan the Man about this quirky celebration of Wear Different Coloured Shoes Day, I nearly said:

“I have never heard of this day”

This sentence would have been INCORRECT, as obviously at the time of saying it, I DID know about this event, so I quickly changed what I was saying and said:

“I had never heard of this day until 2 hours ago”

Using the PAST PERFECT here shows that I didn’t know about it in the past, but NOW I do.
