E120: Sorry is the Hardest Word to Say 😬

LISTEN to the podcast. READ the RnR Grammar. DO the quiz and…. ROCK ON!

Boom Boom is back after being banished for his school boy error and he’s back to (kind of) say sorry 😀 We speak about Walt Disney imagining his friends having sex 😲, Keith Richards ✌️, the benefits of Coca-Cola 😀 and lots more! So just keep CALM and keep on ROCKin’! 👊

The RnR vocab that you will learn in today’s show:

  • A suspension nonetheless
  • I am running a tight ship
  • It’s my way or the high way
  • I’ve got some stats
  • Let’s not rake up old graves
  • 15 people would say sorry for sneezing (have that)
  • There did use to be a better exchange rate
  • Yea, they owe us one
  • An imagine in my face of you after a night out
  • You’re going to have to get to grips with that word (authoritive)
  • Nod and say yea

RnR Grammar

Not so much of a grammar point today, but some general advice. As I said at the end of the podcast, I made a mistake in the show when I said to Boom Boom:

“I’ve got an imagine of you in my face after a night out”

Obviously I wanted to say ‘in my mind’, but just the wrong word completely. As I have to listen to the show to edit it, I notice these things, but you probably didn’t notice…. not even Boom Boom noticed!

This happens much more than you think, native speakers make LOTS of mistakes (like you probably do in your native language), it’s just that most of the time nobody notices as native speakers speak confidently, so the secret is to always have confidence in your own abilities!

When you have listened to the podcast and read the above, then you’re ready for the quiz below! 👊

I’m sorry people, it looks like the quiz may have come to the end. I have a lot of difficulty doing it, as it is very slow to upload and after doing all the work for to make the podcast, doing the quiz at the end is just too much for me sometimes!
