The RnR vocab that you will learn in today’s show:

  • Washed it down with some coca-cola
  • It paid off (persistence)
  • I was hoping that’d come up again
  • They still banged me up
  • Boom Boom’s always been a sensible guy
  • Boom Boom’s always your standard missionary position
  • People often regret poorly timed farts
  • That’s a strong odour you’re releasing if you have to wait 3 minutes
  • I’ll come up with something…. a real zinger!
  • Thanks for raining on my parade
  • But you did give us a snippet of your sexy voice
  • I get see you getting aroused Boom Boom

RnR Grammar

We had some SERIOUS RnR grammar today, when I was saying about the regrets people have in life and one of them was:

“I wish I hadn’t used my phone so much”

Ask yourself this question, is this something I want to change now or in the past? Remember, I’m dying when I say it…

CORRECT! It’s referring to the PAST, so we call this a ‘past wish’.

To make a past wish, we put the PAST PERFECT after the verb wish, so other examples could be:

  • I wish I hadn’t drunk so much last night
  • I wish I had studied more at school
  • I wish I hadn’t had sex with that person

Very useful this structure… as we all do stuff we regret doing! 😬

When you have listened to the podcast and read the above, then you’re ready for the quiz below! 👊

Good luck!

Hi, Martin! Thank you and Boom-Boom for the great podcast again!
By the way, did you know that when someone sends you a voice message in Whats’s up, you can just press “play” and put the phone to your ear and only you will hear the message as if you are talking on the phone. 🙂
