RnR Grammar

There is nothing more Rock n’ Roll than a third conditional, so that’s what we’re looking at today!

In the podcast, I mentioned the story about DELETING me after an argument (the bastard), then I said:

“just think Dan, if I hadn’t called you to make peace, we wouldn’t have made this podcast”

I use this form as I am talking about a PAST action that I cannot change. REMEMBER the formula is always:

HAD + Past Participle | WOULD* + HAVE + Past Participle

*This can sometimes be COULD, MIGHT or MAY but generally it’s WOULD.

If you ever do an English exam like IELTS for example and you include a third conditional in your answer, your chances of receiving a high mark will DEFINITELY increase! So make sure you do!

When you have listened to the podcast and read the above, then you’re ready for the quiz below!

Good luck!

  1. Lyn says:

Can you tell me the answer of quiz no.9? And during the show when you said you had an argument with Dan the man, then you said: He just showed a complete”…”he is. Dan said: you’re “d…”. What are those 2 words? Thank you very much^^!!!

    • Martman99 says:

Hi Lyn, sorry I missed this message! The answer to question no. 9 is “reception”, it’s more normal to say “signal” but we also use “reception” too! Regarding your second question, I’m not sure what you mean… sorry! 🙁

  2. Marina Sanseverino says:

I have just been listening to an hilarious episode, thank you very much to both of you 🙂
