What are weddings in England like? ? LISTEN ? to today’s episode and find out for yourself! PLUS – stories that involve PISSING THE BED ?, Dan asking me to marry him ?, music from the BEE GEES ? and lots of RnR vocab such as: ?⛪?

  • I’m so ill today
  • He has got a cough
  • The bride and groom
  • People go on stag and hen parties and get really pissed
  • You ruined the wedding dancing with your shirt off
  • The wedding finger has a vein that goes to the heart
  • Dan is a virgin

P.S. If you go to the very bottom of the page, you will see the picture of me dancing at a wedding with my shirt off…. but I DIDN’T ruin the wedding! 😉

RnR Grammar

We had some sexy second conditional in the podcast when I said:

“If I was with a girl that wanted to get married, I would do it”

Remember the formula is: IF + Past Simple | WOULD + Infinitive (without to)

When we use the verb “to be” in the if part, we normally use ‘were’ for all people. In fact, this sentence would sound better if I said “if I were with a girl…”, but I’m just a bit stupid! 😉

When you have listened to the podcast and read the above, then you’re ready for the quiz below!

Good luck!

As promised, here is the picture of me with my shirt off at a wedding last year…. I think the DJ was playing The Bee Gees! ?

Oh Martin..you look so very happy in the picture! We don’t dance at weddings but your picture got me thinking.. maybe we should dance too it’ll make weddings (the weddings in our culture) less boring & more entertaining. Thanks for this fun episode again.

Also in Italy they don’t really dance at weddings and I find them quite boring… it’s much more fun when everyone drinks and dances! No problem, thanks again for listening! 🙂
