Episode 66 – World Kindness Day ?

LISTEN to the podcast. READ the RnR Grammar. DO the quiz and…. ROCK ON!

Today is a SPECIAL day ? And not just because you can listen to Dan the Man do the intro and outro (speaking like a ROBOT ?) but for LOTS of other reasons too! There is talk of DOOR holding ?,  BLOOD boiling ?, duck’s ARSES ? and much much more! ? Just keeeeeeep on ROCKin’ baby! ???

Here is today’s RnR vocabulary:

  • Call a lonely person
  • I can’t bear to talk to you
  • It’s caused me a few issues in the past
  • I give them 1.5 seconds roughly
  • I have a 1.5 second cut off point
  • It boils my blood when people don’t say thanks
  • I’m over the moon happy
  • I forgive you for being a twat
  • What a let down you are Dan!
  • It’s absolutely bonkers!
  • Martin’s as tight as a duck’s arse
  • How do you suggest I go about that?
  • You can pig out on ice cream and watch Sex and the City
  • Is Samantha the goer?

RnR Grammar

In today’s podcast, when I was talking about the person that invented World Kindness Day, I said:

“Whoever invented this day must have thought it’s ‘Martin Johnston’s birthday, so it’s the perfect day for this event’ ”

When I use the term must have thought here, it’s because it’s a logical deduction and we are speaking about the past. If it were the present, I would say ‘he must think…’. When we use this expression, we are making an assumption based on our knowledge – BOOM! ?

When you have listened to the podcast and read the above, then you’re ready for the quiz below! ?

There is a bit of a problem for the quiz at the moment… I was in London all weekend and now I’m going to work all day, so I haven’t got time to do it!

It’s my birthday though so you have to forgive me! 😉 Anyway, it will be there tomorrow! 🙂
