Episode 95 – The Strange Laws of Britain 👨‍⚖️

Did you know it’s illegal to drunk in a pub in Britain?! 😲 Find out lots of other strange laws that we have PLUS there is a DIFFERENT opinion about The Royal Family from Clarification Charlie (finally you will hear the other side of the royal story!) 👑, talk of different types of POO 💩 and lots of RnR vocab – so basically it’s just another episode of RnR English – keeeeeeeep on ROCKin’ baby! 💣💣💣

  • There’s been the odd occasion where I’ve forgotten one

  • It means like ‘nags’!

RnR Grammar

In today’s podcast when Clarification Charlie was talking about writing a letter of complaint she said:

“It would be a strongly worded letter”

The term ‘strongly worded’ is lovely, I was trying to think of other examples in which we use it but I couldn’t really think of any, as 90% of the time you will hear exactly that “strongly worded letter / email”. For this reason, it’s so important to remember chunks of language, don’t learn words in isolation!

And the best thing about learning chunks of language is…. the grammar is included in the chunk! 👊
