Episode 97 – How to ROCK 👊

LISTEN to the podcast. READ the RnR Grammar. DO the quiz and…. ROCK ON!

Everyone’s been to a concert, but does everyone know how to ROCK? We give some tips and recount a few of our (not very) Rock n Roll stories of our younger days that includes PISSING in cups 🥤, DRUNKEN dancing 🕺 and going to bed EARLY 😬. Just keep calm people and keeeeeep ROCKIN’! 👊👊👊

The RnR vocab that you will learn in today’s show:

  • Maybe one week, just mix it up a bit
  • Clarification Charlie is always having a go at me
  • Keep plugging away
  • I’ve got an idea based on what you’ve been up to recently
  • We’ve been to quite a few in our day
  • He plays the same set
  • So another thing to do at gigs
  • Ian Brown if that helps jog your memory
  • We were referring them to as ‘your bird’ and ‘my bird’
  • Just because they bumped into us
  • Do you remember when you pulled a bloke
  • It’s an ongoing joke
  • Don’t get complacent
  • Do you get there early to soak up the atmosphere or fashionably late
  • I was on crutches at the time
  • A place where I could put it down and it wouldn’t get knocked over
  • I’m not throwing my piss on someone, I have to draw the line somewhere
  • A friend of ours has an incredibly weak bladder
  • It says “don’t heckle
  • Get that 7 hours sleep under my belt

RnR Grammar

I keep forgetting to do this bit… I’m writing this after England just won 6 – 1… so please forgive me this week – I can’t think of anything about grammar – only football! Things will be back to normal soon though when England get knocked out! 😬

When you have listened to the podcast and read the above, then you’re ready for the quiz below! 👊

I’m really sorry, but I haven’t had time for the quiz either this week. I’ve been at Mrs RnR English’s family house all weekend and the quiz takes a long time to do and I just haven’t had time – I’m very sorry! I’ll be much more free in a couple of weeks when I finish work.

If you have any questions about the vocab, PLEASE send me an email (martin@rocknrollenglish.com) as I love to hear from you and I’ll be happy to answer any questions that you have! Or you can leave a comment on this article… as you prefer! 🙂
