165 – Our Fury Four-Legged Friends 🐶

A full episode dedicated to my favourite creature 😜 There talk of VOMITING in bushes 🤮, MARRYING dogs 👰, why dog POO is good for the environment 💩 and much more! Lots and LOTS of RnR vocabulary so just keeeeeeeep on ROCKin’, baby! 👊

The RnR vocab that you will learn in today’s show:

  • I decided to keep my head down
  • to keep my nose clean
  • I’m sorry to burst your bubble
  • I’m chopping at the bit (to know what we’re going to talk about)
  • We briefly talked about a story where a dog chased me
  • When we found him, he was covered in fleas, hence why he’s called Flea
  • oh you are a good samaritan!
  • I had it made in the old situation
  • It’s more just a lukewarm like
  • I’m not buying that (that I don’t give him unconditional life)
  • His dog got kidnapped
  • Maybe the dog was in on it
  • I see an upstanding member of society walking with their dog
  • Who are these people picking up shit? They are savages
  • The big dogs keep themselves to themselves
  • there were lots of dogs not on the leash
  • There’s no love lost there
  • Dogs slobber
  • I’ve never given her the ultimatum
  • The last one, something you touched upon earlier, is that they say dog’s are a man’s best friend

RnR Grammar

In today’s pod, I said to the Hellraiser:

“I’ve never given her an ultimatum”, notice that present perfect there? Everyone’s nightmare!

The secret to understanding the present perfect is to understand we use it in DIFFERENT occasions, in this one, it’s simply because I’m talking about ‘in my life’, which luckily, is not over! So when we talk about a LIFE EXPERIENCE (and the time is not finished), we use the present perfect, baby!

This podcast is a testament of true friendship, especially good because it’s male friendship over a number of years.
Last week’s episode was a laugh with Comer and his three policies but Hellraiser always manages to shock with his stories.

The image of you running away from your own wedding is classic
