206 – Things That Go Wrong At Weddings 😬

Mine is coming up in a couple of weeks, so I’m starting to worry! 😅 We have LOTS of embarrassing wedding stories, shirts off on the dancefloor 🕺, socks on faces 🧦, falling asleep during speeches 😴 and LOTS more! Plus we even have some embarrassing PICTURES today (only on the website), so have a listen, have a look and just keeeeeeep on ROCKin’, baby! 👊

Have a look at the pictures from PT TJ’s wedding HERE.

The RnR Vocab you will learn in today’s pod:

  • Trying to keep up with you
  • I was going to stray away from the pedo example
  • Otherwise setting ourselves up for a fall
  • But I embrace my boring voice
  • You could put my mind at rest
  • You were slumped, tie undone and pissed
  • The beers on tap
  • By 4 o’clock I was completely obliterated
  • I’m gonna hammer that (the open bar)
  • That’s the type of shithousery you’d do
  • Seamless day
  • This is what sobered up
  • But then I got a second wind
  • That’s what you had to down a bottle of
  • That wasn’t just a one off
  • It’s bang on
  • I’ll tell the other half
  • I remember you telling me you were shitting it
  • We’ve gone for more of an upbeat one
  • I think I’ve bitten off more than I can chew
  • I spent a lot of time hassling the DJ
  • Sweating profusely
  • Break a leg

RnR Grammar

Let’s just enjoy today’s expression “I’ve bitten off more than I can chew”. Just think about it. It’s beautiful (probably my favourite saying in English if you’re interested!)
